Introduction To The New Discrimination Ordinance
This session gives an overview of the new Discrimination Ordinance and is directed at all employers, employees, service providers and service users. This session will cover the following aspects:
- Existing discrimination law landscape
- The new protected grounds including a particular focus on the definitions of disability and carer status
- Explanation of the different types of discrimination and other prohibited conduct
- Who the new law applies to
- When it will come into force
- Procedure for bringing claims
- Remedies
- General exceptions
